About Una

I am a dedicated artist with a deep academic background in art and art history, passionate about helping students understand not only how to create, but why art matters. By connecting technique to historical movements, visual language, and cultural context, I help students develop stronger artistic judgment, intention, and originality. My teaching emphasizes the creative process—observation, experimentation, and critical thinking—because true artistic growth comes from understanding, not just producing a final result. Lessons are professional, personalized, and designed to build both skill and confidence in a supportive, inspiring environment.

Students should take lessons with me because I bring a deep passion for art combined with strong knowledge of art history and its cultural context. Understanding the history behind artistic movements, techniques, and masters helps students see why art is created the way it is, allowing them to make more intentional, informed creative decisions. By learning from the past, you strengthen your technical skills, develop a trained artistic eye, and build a richer visual language.

My teaching also emphasizes that the creative process is more important than the final result. I focus on experimentation, observation, and growth, helping you build confidence, patience, and a personal artistic voice. Each lesson is designed to support your development, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper connection to your work and the meaning behind it.
