About Dominika
I have just finished my first year studying chemistry at Durham University with a 78% average. I achieved four A*s at A-level in chemistry, maths, further maths, and German, and I have over a year of tutoring experience. My passion for chemistry means that I am always excited to share my knowledge with others and hopefully make them love chemistry too. The skills and subject knowledge I acquired in my first year allow me to explain concepts in more depth, as well as offer an insight into higher-level problem solving techniques that are perhaps not taught at A-level.

During lessons I aim to strengthen your problem-solving skills, reinforcing a deeper understanding of concepts, rather than simply memorising facts. My lessons are individually designed to tackle each student's weakest areas, with a lot of flexibility in terms of teaching methods: I will teach you in a way that works best for you. I put a big emphasis on exam question practice and try to incorporate it into every lesson, but not before ensuring you have a firm understanding of the topic first. I encourage students to connect ideas from different topics and remember content better by actively recalling topics covered in past lessons.

chemistry was my least favourite science so i never fully understood it, however Dominika really encouraged me and helped me with my work and i would say it really showed in my GCSEs, especially since she got all 9s herself. she is a very close friend of mine and a lovely girl.
