About Ellie

Hi! My name is Ellie and I am a first year Doctor of Medicine student at UQ. I graduated school in 2017 with an OP1 equivalent, and a UMAT score of 90.

I graduated from The Glennie School in 2017, where I was school captain. I received a VHA grade across all of my subjects (English VHA7, Maths B VHA5, Chemistry VHA3, Physics VHA4, Economics VHA10 and French/French Extension VHA10). I was awarded with the subject prize for Year 12 French. I was the captain of the Academic Committee, and also tutored girls in French throughout high school.

I graduated from a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2020, with a GPA of 6.0. I also completed high level french elective courses across 4 semesters.

My tutoring experience includes Kings College at UQ, and previous high school tutoring. I am keen to provide tutoring to all grades, both in exam preparation and assignment assistance. As a medical student, I have exceptional study skills and am looking to pass these on, as well as subject-specific knowledge.

I am very passionate about French and would love the opportunity to share my passion and help you to succeed. I completed French Immersion at high school, where all my core subjects were taught in French. I then participated in a 5 week exchange program to France in 2015, where I stayed with a French host family, attended a French school and was immersed in French culture.

About the lesson

I'm extremely passionate about learning and teaching the French language. I would love to be able to help you enjoy and succeed in your French studies!

I am happy to help however you need; whether it be getting a better understanding of content covered in class, or help with an assignment/assessment piece. I often like to work from a textbook, going through exercises and explanations of complex grammatical rules. I love speaking French, and would love the opportunity to give you more experience conversing in French and listening to French being spoken.
