About Zhengqing

Hi, I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from mainland China, currently studying for my Master of Professional Accounting at RMIT University in Melbourne. From a young age, I’ve had a strong connection with language—I was often selected as the school host and presenter, which helped me develop a clear and accurate Mandarin accent. My academic background in Chinese was strong, and I have always enjoyed sharing my language and culture with others. Although I’m new to tutoring international students, I bring enthusiasm, patience, and a learner’s mindset to every lesson. As someone currently studying abroad and learning in English myself, I understand how challenging—and rewarding—language learning can be. I aim to create a friendly, respectful environment where students feel encouraged and supported. About the lesson

As a native Mandarin speaker from mainland China, I offer friendly and practical Chinese lessons for beginners or anyone interested in improving their Mandarin skills. Currently studying my Master of Professional Accounting at RMIT University in Melbourne, I understand how it feels to learn a new language, and I aim to make your Chinese learning journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

My teaching focuses on clear pronunciation, daily conversation, and basic reading and writing (including Pinyin and common characters). I customise my lessons based on your goals—whether it's for travel, culture, business, or just personal interest.

I use a supportive, interactive approach that includes:

• Real-life scenarios and useful vocabulary
• Cultural insights (traditions, festivals, etiquette, etc.)
• Simple grammar explained in plain English
• Fun speaking practice and listening games
• Patience and encouragement every step of the way

Each lesson is usually 60 minutes, but I can adjust the time and pace depending on your needs.

These lessons are ideal for:
