# About Me - Asher Jenkins

Hello! My name is Asher Jenkins, and I am currently a student at Middlebury College, working towards a Bachelor of Arts with an impressive GPA of 3.91. I have consistently achieved the highest academic honor, being recognized as a College Scholar for two semesters. My coursework includes a range of subjects from Intro to Macro Economics and Calculus 1 to Introduction to Computing and Intermediate Spanish.

My academic journey began at St. Augustine Preparatory School, where I graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.00. During my time there, I was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, serving as the Vice President of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) and participating in Mock Trial. I also led the Varsity Football Team, Wrestling Team, and Track Team as a captain, showcasing my leadership and teamwork skills.

Currently, I am a Researcher with the Middlebury Economics Fellowship, where I analyze high-frequency monetary shocks and develop models using R-Studio. Additionally, I am a member of the Middlebury Student Investment Committee, where I utilize advanced analysis techniques to evaluate and build stock pitches, contributing to the management of the school's portfolio.

My involvement in the Middlebury Diversity in Business club reflects my commitment to promoting diversity and acquiring valuable communication and professional development skills. As a linebacker for the Middlebury College Men’s Football team, I dedicate over 20 hours per week to training and competing, honing my prioritization and time management skills.

Previously, as the Vice-President of DECA, I led successful marketing campaigns and fundraising events, significantly increasing club membership and securing funds to enable club members to attend the annual DECA conference in Orlando.

Through the SEO EDGE program, I receive coaching and online instruction to achieve my interview, technical, and professional developmental goals. This program also provides industry-specific training, enhancing my technical skills and institutional knowledge.

In addition to my academic and extracurricular achievements, I am proficient in Spanish and skilled in various computer programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Premiere Pro, and Python. My interests span sports, video editing, deep-sea fishing, and travel, which contribute to my well-rounded personality.
