About Emily

With 4 years of experience in teaching and working in the music field, I have become a drum tutor who values patience, clarity, and passion in every lesson. I enjoy teaching school to college students because each age group brings a different kind of energy and curiosity. My goal is always to help students understand rhythm in a simple way and develop strong musical confidence. A major milestone in my career was organising a student showcase performance where learners of all levels participated. What inspires me most is watching students grow over time—whether they master a difficult beat, play along to a full song, or perform confidently on stage. I believe that music teaches discipline, patience, and self-expression, and I want every student to experience these benefits. Teaching drum is more than a job for me; it is a journey of sharing passion and helping students discover the joy of music. My mission is to create a positive, motivating space where learners feel encouraged to practice, improve, and enjoy the art of drumming.

About the lesson

My drum teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I aim to make learning easy, enjoyable, and meaningful by helping students understand rhythm deeply and play with confidence. Motivation is an important part of my lessons. I make sure every student feels excited by setting achievable goals, giving positive feedback, and including fun exercises that make practice enjoyable. This keeps learners consistent and confident. Communication is at the heart of how I teach. I break down each technique slowly and demonstrate every beat clearly so students can follow without stress. I use simple explanations, visual references, and step-by-step guidance. Students are encouraged to ask questions anytime. Integrity helps me create a trustworthy learning space. I teach honestly, keep lessons well-structured, and encourage students to build discipline. My feedback is gentle but clear, helping students understand exactly how they can improve. Creativity makes the lessons unique. I help students explore different beats, write their own rhythms, and experiment with music styles like funk, rock, and jazz. I also teach rhythm reading, coordination drills, and timing exercises to strengthen their foundation. Besides drums, I also teach percussion basics, rhythm development, tempo discipline, and music fundamentals that support a drummer’s journey. My approach helps students grow into confident and expressive musicians.
