About Evan
I am a bilingual professional and former Spanish teacher. I taught middle and high school Spanish for four years immediately out of college and also was a coach in football and tennis. In college, I studied Spanish and also completed a semester abroad in Cordoba, Spain. Additionally, I have traveled to South America on four occasions and once led a student trip to Costa Rica. My professional experience is not just limited to Spanish teaching. I also have a Master's of Social Work degree and have worked as a tax accountant as well. I am also an accomplished musician and performing artist.

As a former full-time Spanish teacher, I have a unique ability to assess my students' knowledge of subject matter and develop creative and customized lesson plans to help them evolve as learners. I like to begin every lesson with an activity that hooks my students in and grabs their attention. Lots of practice and repetition with vocabulary and grammar exercises are also incorporated into my lessons. I have experience teaching middle, high school, and college level students and feel confident doing so as a Spanish tutor today.
