About Alayna
I have taught for seven years, and each year I think I’ve refined my craft all the more. I aim for excellence in everything I do, especially teaching. I am constantly adjusting and changing as I gather feedback from students and read more about the art of teaching. I love teaching and genuinely believe it’s my calling. I went to graduate school, not to get a higher paycheck or a new job, but to do my job better.

I am a published writer and would love to help your student strengthen and refine their writing. I also love the literature (my particular interests are the Ancient, Renaissance, and Romantic eras). I hope to teach Homer and Jane Austen until I die. But, more than both of any of that, I want you to know that I see your student as a human being, worthy of dignity, respect, and curiosity.
