About Cassandra
Native English speaker, I'm a recent graduate of California State University Long Beach where I earned my bachelor's in psychology. At CSULB I had the opportunity to study an array of approaches used in psychology. This included courses in research, assessments and social psychology. I am currently an intern as a mentor at Well-Suited College and Career planning where I meet remotely with high school students within Los Angeles County School District. I am also responsible for researching and planning weekly meetings based on the Well-Suited curriculum. I am also a registered behavior technician at ACES ABA where I work with children on the autism spectrum. My role as a RBT has given me experience with natural observations while reinforcing positive behaviors through therapeutic techniques. I am currently looking for a position in a therapeutic environment where I can expand my psychology skills. Once I secure the position I am currently looking for I plan to further my education by enrolling in a Master's program that focuses on therapy, counseling or school counseling.

Follow-Up & Review: Start each session by reviewing what the student remembers from the previous one, identifying any gaps.
Use Effective Questioning: Engage the student by asking thoughtful questions to gauge understanding and encourage thinking.
Promote Self-Learning: Provide opportunities for the student to solve problems independently and offer guidance through questions when needed.
Employ Multiple Modalities: Use a variety of tools and activities that involve writing, speaking, listening, and other forms of engagement.
Encourage Active Participation: Create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their ideas.
Utilize Technology (if applicable): If tutoring online, leverage tools like screen sharing, virtual whiteboards, and visual/audio aids to enhance the learning experience.
4. Assessment & Feedback:
Assess Progress: Regularly check in on the student's progress and adjust the plan accordingly.
Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on their performance and celebrate successes.
