About Elise

I am a French tutor with 7 years of experience and a Master of Arts in French Linguistics. I have worked with over 250 students from absolute beginners to advanced academic and professional French speakers. My lessons cover conversational French, grammar, pronunciation, cultural immersion, and DELF examination preparation comprehensively in every course. About the lesson

My French lessons are immersive, communicative, and culturally rich throughout every session I deliver to students. Every lesson begins with a speaking warm-up to build confidence and fluency and identify areas to develop and work on during the session. Grammar is always introduced through real authentic conversations and cultural scenarios so students see immediately how structures function in natural French usage. Pronunciation and accent training are integrated throughout every lesson using phonetic drills, nasal vowel practice, and natural audio comparison with native French speakers to build authentic sound. Cultural exploration through French cinema, music, cuisine, history, and current affairs enriches every session and maintains strong motivation at every stage of the learning journey. DELF exam candidates receive comprehensive preparation across all tested skills with regular mock exercises and specific targeted feedback on each area. Advanced students work on complex grammar, sophisticated vocabulary, and nuanced expression through authentic texts and structured academic discussions and debates. Intermediate students build natural conversational fluency through graduated challenges and thematic vocabulary development by topic. I use authentic French audio and video throughout to develop natural listening comprehension alongside speaking and writing skills. My goal is for every student to speak French with genuine fluency, natural accent, and deep cultural appreciation.
