About Emily

I am currently undertaking a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey and I recently completed a Master's in Immunobiology at the University of Newcastle. I graduated from UEA with a BSc in Biomedicine in 2019. Throughout my school years I was involved in tutoring practice both inside and outside of school. I also have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification and have been tutoring online and in person for over 5 years now. I hope to make the subjects that people often find a little more complicated easier to understand for everyone. I have A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, and an AS level in Physics and wish to help students who need those extra few hours of work to achieve their desired grades.

About the lesson

I attempt to adapt my lessons to each individual's specific learning styles. A discussion will be had with any new student to determine what they feel works for them and a tailored lesson plan will be drawn up. I try to incorporate all learning styles into each group lesson to account for everyone’s preferred learning style. Patience is key when tackling difficult subjects and I aim to have a number of ways of explaining each complex subject to reduce frustration in my students. Perfect! Emily helped my daughter achieve a 7, just missing an 8 (2 marks) in just a small number of lessons between her mocks and final exam. Perfect! I have tried a few tutors for my daughter and Emily is by far the best. She is a very confident tutor who knows the subject in depth. She has engaging PowerPoints and is very polite, my daughter really enjoyed her lesson. I look forward to booking regular sessions with Emily.
