Hello! As a graduating Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) student, I, Andrea Mae A., am here to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical, classroom-ready application. My tutoring style is designed to make learning feel less like a chore and more like a discovery.

Here is an overview of my professional approach:

My Teaching Method: Differentiated & Interactive
I believe that no two students learn the same way. My approach is rooted in constructivism—the idea that students learn best when they actively build their own understanding rather than passively receiving information.

Differentiated Instruction: I adapt my lessons to fit the student's unique learning style (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic). If a concept isn't clicking, I pivot to a different explanation or visual aid until it does.

Scaffolding: I provide temporary support to guide students toward independence. We start with heavy guidance on complex topics and gradually remove the "training wheels" as the student gains confidence.

Positive Reinforcement: Learning is hard work. I focus on celebrating small wins to build the student's self-esteem and motivation.

The Anatomy of a Typical Lesson
I structure my sessions to ensure we maximize our time while keeping the student engaged:

The Hook (5 minutes): We start with a quick warm-up or fun activity to activate prior knowledge and get the student comfortable.

Guided Learning (15–20 minutes): This is the core instruction. I explain the new concept using clear, relatable examples or digital tools, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together.

Independent Practice (10–15 minutes): The student applies what they learned on their own. This is where I observe their problem-solving process and step in only when needed.

Wrap-Up & Reflection (5 minutes): We summarize what was learned and identify what the student feels most confident about and what they want to practice next time.

What Sets Me Apart
Being a graduating BEED student is my greatest strength. It means:

Current Curriculum Knowledge: I am up-to-date with the latest pedagogical trends, modern teaching standards, and current educational tools used in today’s classrooms.

Adaptability: I haven't been stuck in a single way of teaching for years; I am trained to be flexible and creative in my delivery.

Peer-Level Connection: I possess a unique ability to bridge the gap between the "teacher" and "student" roles, making lessons feel like a partnership rather than a lecture.

Who I Teach
My lessons are designed for Elementary-level students who need support in foundational skills. Specifically, I work well with:

Primary School Students (Grades 1–6): Whether they are struggling to keep up with the core curriculum or need enrichment to get ahead.

Students Needing Foundational Literacy or Numeracy: Children who require a patient, step-by-step approach to grasp fundamental reading and math skills.

Students with Learning Fatigue: Those who have become discouraged by traditional classroom methods and need a fresh, encouraging, and interactive environment to regain their confidence.

I look forward to helping students achieve their academic goals and fostering a lifelong love for learning!
