About Kayla
I am passionate about both math and chemistry, and I take great pride in helping students of all levels succeed. I understand the challenges that come with these subjects, which is why I am committed to providing clear, approachable, and effective tutoring. Through my own experience in high school, I’ve developed a deep understanding of these subjects and how they fit together, allowing me to explain complex ideas in a simple and understandable way. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and truly grasping the material.

Conceptual Understanding: I break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand chunks. Rather than just memorizing formulas or methods, I emphasize understanding why certain steps are taken. This helps students build a deeper, long-lasting comprehension.
Interactive Problem-Solving: I believe that practice is key in both math and chemistry. During lessons, we’ll work through problems step-by-step, discussing the logic behind each solution. I guide students to independently solve problems by encouraging them to think critically, so they can apply the knowledge beyond just homework assignments.
Real-World Applications: I often draw connections between abstract concepts and real-life examples to make the material more relatable. This helps students see the relevance of what they’re learning, whether it’s how chemical reactions power everyday items or how mathematical principles shape the world around us.
Adaptability: Every student learns at their own pace, so I adjust my approach based on the individual. If a student is struggling, I slow down, provide extra practice, and explain the material from different angles. For faster learners, I introduce more advanced topics and challenges to keep them engaged and progressing.
