Hi! I’m Vinishsrivel Palanivelu, a passionate language educator from Malaysia. I’m 23 years old and a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Malay Language & Tamil Language) from Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim, Johor. With nearly 2 years of teaching experience as both a trainee teacher and private tutor, I have worked with students across all primary school levels, helping them strengthen their understanding and confidence in Tamil, Malay, and English. My lessons are engaging, student-centered, and designed to meet individual learning needs — ensuring every learner progresses at their own pace. I’m dedicated to creating a fun and motivating learning environment where students not only improve academically but also develop a genuine love for languages.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology 1. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: -My core teaching methodology is centered on student-centric learning and adaptive instruction. I believe in making lessons engaging and relevant to the student's personal interests and learning style. -Language Instruction (English, Malay, Tamil): I use a communicative and task-based approach. This involves: -Immersion and Practice: Focusing on real-world conversations and scenarios to build fluency and confidence. -Differentiated Activities: Preparing appropriate exercises and study materials that are specifically tailored to the student's current understanding standard and pace. -Error Analysis: Gently correcting mistakes and explaining the underlying rules, using examples that resonate with the student's daily life. -Assessment and Progress: I regularly assess the student's progress through short quizzes, speaking tasks, and writing assignments to ensure foundational concepts are solid before moving on. My goal is to transform passive learning into active retention and application. 2. Typical Length of a Lesson: -A typical lesson is 60 minutes (1 hour). This duration is ideal for primary school students, allowing for a focused, high-energy lesson without causing fatigue. For intensive preparation periods, lessons can be extended to 90 minutes upon request. 3. My Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: -While I am in the process of building my formal one-on-one tutoring experience, I am a dedicated and proficient speaker of English, Malay, and Tamil. I possess a strong educational background in these languages and have spent significant time developing effective communication and instructional strategies. I am highly passionate about education and committed to continuous professional development to provide the best learning experience. 4. Who are my lessons for (level, age, etc.): -My lessons are designed for Primary School students ranging from Standard 1 to Standard 6 (ages 7 to 12). Focus Areas: -Standard 1-3: Building foundational literacy, vocabulary, and basic conversational skills. -Standard 4-6: Strengthening grammar, composition writing, reading comprehension, and preparation for school examinations. I am dedicated to helping young learners not only meet their academic goals in English, Malay, and Tamil but also to develop a genuine love for languages.
