About Akhil
Hello, I am a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate studying at the University of Bristol. For me personally, exams were never enjoyable but some of the most fantastic teachers and tutors made it easier for me. I hope to use their style of teaching that helped me to bring out my passion for engineering which led me to enjoy my subject further and do better at exams. I have helped my students to get excellent grades and to find out what they are passionate about to carry on to further education. This is reflected through my 3 years of tutor experience where I have helped students grasps the fundamental concepts and learn the tricks to answering specific exam questions.

For each student, I will devise different lesson plans to suit their needs. For long-term students, I would start by working with their weakest topics, spending sufficient time to explain the theory in depth until they are comfortable with the topic. We will then work through past paper questions as a way to revise the theory, whilst also giving me an opportunity to explain the tricks and tips for certain questions. After we have gone through all the material, we would do lots of past paper questions, focusing on dissecting the questions and understand how to answer them to efficiently get all the marks. If we identify any weaker topics, we would go back and cover the theory before going through more questions.
