About Kartar
Hello! I’m Kartar, a passionate Mathematics teacher, learner and educator who believes that teaching is much more than explaining a chapter and checking answers.
I have always been deeply interested in Mathematics, especially in understanding the logic behind numbers, patterns and problem-solving. This interest naturally developed into a passion for teaching. What I enjoy most is taking a concept that initially looks difficult to a student and breaking it down into simple, understandable steps until the student is able to solve it independently.
My teaching journey has taught me that every student is different. Some students understand quickly, some need more practice, while others may have small gaps in their fundamentals that make new topics seem difficult. I therefore believe in teaching the student, not just teaching the chapter.
I am particularly passionate about working with students from Classes 5–8 because these are important years for developing strong mathematical foundations. Concepts learned during these years become the foundation for higher-level Mathematics, so I focus on making those basics genuinely clear rather than encouraging students to memorize procedures.
As a teacher, I try to create an environment where students feel comfortable saying, “I don’t understand.” I consider that an important part of learning. I encourage questions, mistakes and discussion because a mistake can often tell us exactly what needs to be understood better.
I am patient, approachable and serious about my responsibility as a teacher. At the same time, I believe students should gradually become independent learners. My aim is not to make a student dependent on a teacher for every question, but to develop the confidence to think, analyze and find solutions on their own.
I also believe that good education should develop more than academic marks. Mathematics can teach students patience, logical reasoning, accuracy, discipline and the habit of approaching problems calmly. These are skills that remain valuable far beyond the classroom.
I continuously work on improving myself as a teacher because I believe that a teacher should remain a learner throughout life. I reflect on my teaching, look for better ways to explain concepts and try to understand what makes learning easier and more enjoyable for students.
For me, the most satisfying moment in teaching is not when I give a student the correct answer. It is when the student finally understands the concept and says, “Now I can do it myself.”
That is the kind of teacher I aspire to be — someone who makes Mathematics clearer, learning more enjoyable, and students more confident in their own ability to learn.

My teaching approach is based on one simple idea: Mathematics should be understood, not memorized.
I teach Mathematics to school students, especially Classes 5–8, with a strong focus on building clear fundamentals and logical thinking. I explain every concept in simple, student-friendly language and connect mathematical ideas with familiar examples from everyday life wherever possible.
My Teaching Method
I begin by understanding the student's current level, strengths, difficulties, and learning gaps. Instead of immediately moving to advanced questions, I make sure the basic concept is clear first.
My classes generally follow this structure:
• Quick revision of previously learned concepts
• Introduction of the new concept in a simple way
• Step-by-step explanation with examples
• Guided practice with the student
• Different levels of questions to strengthen understanding
• Discussion of mistakes and alternative methods
• Short practice/revision at the end of the class
I encourage students to ask questions freely. If a student does not understand something the first time, I try a different explanation, example, visual method, or step-by-step approach rather than simply repeating the same explanation.
What Makes My Classes Different
My goal is not just to help students complete their homework or prepare for the next test. I want them to understand WHY a mathematical method works and WHEN to use it.
I particularly focus on:
• Strong foundational concepts
• Mental calculation and number sense
• Step-by-step problem solving
• Logical and analytical thinking
• Accuracy and proper mathematical presentation
• Building confidence in students who find Math difficult
• Challenging students who want to improve beyond their regular schoolwork
I also pay attention to common mistakes and misconceptions, because identifying the reason behind a mistake is often more valuable than simply correcting the answer.
Who Are My Classes For?
My classes are primarily intended for students from Classes 5–8 who want to strengthen their Mathematics fundamentals, improve their problem-solving ability, keep up with school studies, prepare for examinations, or simply become more confident in Math.
Whether a student is struggling with basic concepts or wants to develop stronger mathematical skills, I adapt the pace and level of teaching according to the student's individual needs.
Every student learns differently, so I believe a good Math teacher should not have just one way of teaching. The method should change according to the learner.
