About Ayaz
My name is Ayaz and I am about to start my second year of medicine in Birmingham. Outside of studying I practice Tang Soo Do an ancient South Korean martial art in which I am a Black Belt. To relax I also enjoy playing piano and learning languages. My interest in languages is what inspired me to travel to countries such as Spain, Greece and Ukraine
In the past I have done face to face tutoring. I have tutored a range of students at different levels even tutoring a child with SEN. Initially I found this quite challenging however I was able to adapt to their learning style and now in future am more conscious of the importance of tailoring the style of learning to meet the needs of the student. As a senior prefect at school I was also involved in mentoring students from a range of year groups.

I aim to make the lesson as engaging as possible as I find active learning to be essential to the understanding of information. This includes using past papers, referring to videos and breaking down key concepts using critical thinking. I also aim to ensure my students are confident in their abilities and to clarify any areas which they seem to find particularly difficult. As always I believe education should be adapted to the needs of the student and so we would be constantly reviewing and consolidating concepts.
