About Stephen

I am a native French speaker who has previously worked in the media industry - involving journalism, translation and interpretation services from French to English & vice-versa. I have two years of tutoring French to children, teenagers and adults from various backgrounds; for academic purposes, exam preparations, helping for homework or to just simply improve their fluency & pronunciation. I love history, geography and traveling around the world! I also love reading and I am currently working on different pedagogical methods and research studies of teaching languages in this modern world. My classes are currently online and happy to help you with anything you need to succeed in French. I'm currently accepting students with an intermediate to advanced level of French.

About the lesson

Learn French in a fun, interactive and engaging environment with different online platforms and materials that I use and provide free of charge to students.

In the first lesson, I would be able to determine your level, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and hence, be able to customize each lesson based on your individual needs and goals.

My lessons are for anyone - whether you are trying to learn a new language, prepare for an official exam, live/work in French speaking countries, improve your fluency and pronunciation or just out of curiosity to use French to travel around the world.

My son is a total beginner, but only after taking 2 lessons, he can read French alphabet, say quite a few greeting sentences, and count from 1 to 10! Kana's daughter is amongst one of my youngest students and she's slowly, but surely progressing even better after every lesson. I exercise active listening and patience to make sure that the basic roots of the language is well understood by the student first; then, I move on to exercises to practice what has been learnt. :)
