About Barrie
My name is Barrie, and I am an illustrator from London. I specialise in cartoon character drawing inspired from 90s cartoons and anime. I have a passion for drawing the human form. My character design skills are all rooted in deep anatomy and life drawing study. I practice atelier drawing and have been attending regular life drawing classes for the last 10 years. I have had tutoring from figure drawing artist Brian Knox and am currently subscribed to the Watts atelier drawing programme.

Finding your figure drawing skills have hit a plateau? Maybe you have big character designs in mind, but are held back by anatomy drawing struggles, or you'd simply love to give your drawing hobby the focus it deserves? Together, we can work out your goals and set up plans to smash through any drawing plateaus to elevate your skills. In our sessions, I can show you drawing techniques and methods that will help build your figure drawing skills. I will draw along with you to show you these methods in real time. I will also be able to help you on any specific areas that you might find challenging in figure drawing. From how to hold a pencil all the way to how the body parts flow and connect, I will be there to guide you along the way.
