About Diana
I’m a Moscow-born linguist, writer, and teacher who has been in love with the Russian language since childhood. I spent my early years reading endlessly, writing poetry and fairy tales, and wondering where words came from. This passion led me to become a philologist, earning my degree in Applied Linguistics from the Russian State University for the Humanities. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with words—as a writer, translator, and journalist—but nothing brings me more joy than teaching. For the past seven years, I’ve been helping both adults and children master Russian for all kinds of purposes, from travel and daily communication to exams and professional use. I love the creativity of teaching—finding the perfect, personalized approach that makes learning both effective and enjoyable. My students have successfully passed Russian language proficiency exams at all levels, but more importantly, they’ve fallen in love with the language. Now based in Los Angeles, I deeply miss my native language and culture, and I’m excited to share them with you!
