About Willa
I am a singing tutor with over six years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I work mainly with adult beginners, hobby singers, and those returning to singing after a long break. My lessons are calm, supportive, and free from pressure.
I focus strongly on healthy breathwork, vocal relaxation, and good posture. Mindfulness plays an important role in how I teach music. This helps singers feel grounded and present while they sing. Tone development is approached gently and step by step.
I teach a range of styles including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. Each lesson is adapted to the learner’s comfort level and personal goals. I believe singing is a powerful form of self-care and creative expression. It builds confidence, not just in music but in everyday life.
My goal is to help you enjoy your voice and trust it. You are welcome to start or restart your singing journey with me, at any age.

My singing lessons approach supports performers who work within ensembles and those who blend styles across genres. I focus strongly on music literacy so singers can read, understand, and perform with confidence. Notation reading is taught step by step, linking symbols directly to sound and voice. Interval training builds accurate pitch awareness and strengthens the ear-mind-voice connection.
Rhythm exercises improve timing, precision, and internal pulse through clapping, counting, and vocal drills. Harmony building helps singers hold their line while understanding the full musical texture. Ensemble-focused learners grow through consistent sight-singing practice and structured repetition. Genre-blending singers improve by applying the same skills across different musical styles.
Sight-singing apps support daily pitch and interval practice. Rhythm trainers sharpen coordination and accuracy. Notation tools help visualize melodies and harmonies clearly. With steady practice, singers develop control, confidence, and musical independence.
