  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I've been fascinated with medicine and biology since I was a kid. Dissecting frogs in school and understanding how the human body works sparked something in me. As for tutoring, I realized I loved explaining complex concepts to friends and family, making it simpler for them to grasp. It became a perfect combo – sharing my passion for medical sciences and helping others learn!
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach medical subjects like medicine and biology. Love diving into topics like anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology – they're like puzzles! Students often enjoy discussing case studies and real-life applications. As for "a little less", it's probably memorizing endless drug names, but making it interactive helps!
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Definitely! Dr. Brown, my pharmacology prof. She made complex concepts click with analogies and real-world examples. Her passion was contagious – inspired me to simplify tough topics for others.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, adaptability, and empathy. Breaking down complex stuff, adapting to learning styles, and making students feel heard – that's the vibe.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

In med school, I struggled with pharmacology. My study group and I turned it into a game – "Drug of the Day". Made it fun, and now I use similar tricks with students.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

Balancing depth and simplicity. Medicine's vast – knowing what to focus on for students' needs is a constant learn.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Passionate about making medicine accessible. Outside teaching, love hiking – nature's anatomy is wild!
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?

I connect with students, adapt to their pace, and make complex medical stuff simple. Plus, I'm all about boosting confidence in learners.
