About Nick
Just a math nerd with a passion for teaching math. (And stats too!) I have degrees in applied math and stats and have been teaching and tutoring in these subjects for several years now. I know that at the high school and college level, math people are not known as being super teaching-focused and I want to play a small part in changing that so more people will become both interested in math and better acquainted with it.

I know firsthand the plight of doing difficult math problems as a former struggling and unmotivated student. That's why I know and appreciate the value of high-quality teaching and motivation for students, particularly in math.
I believe in giving an intuitive understanding of the ideas beneath each problem rather than just churning out exercises without considering what's going on under the hood. In my experience, this leads to a better, more generalizable ability to do well in math, rather than just being able to "brute force" your way to solve some problems with no idea what the point of it all is or why anything worked the way it worked.
In this way, I'm confident I can deliver the right solution (no pun intended) for my students' math help needs. And I promise I will try to make the content as interesting as I possibly can...
Subjects include AP Stats, AP Calc, SAT/GRE math, and other high school and college math courses.
