About Isla

I’m a piano teacher with over 14 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance. My goal is to help students not just play the piano, but truly feel the music. I believe that emotional connection is just as important as technical skill. In my lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and expression. I tailor each session to the student's level and goals, making sure progress feels natural and motivating. Whether you're a beginner or advancing your skills, I guide you with patience and clarity. I love watching students grow into confident, expressive pianists. We explore various styles—from classical to modern—so learning stays fresh and exciting. I also include ear training and sight-reading to support well-rounded development. For me, teaching is about creating a space where students can enjoy music, explore their creativity, and grow in confidence. Music has the power to move and inspire, and I want every student to experience that. Let’s begin this musical journey together.

From church performers to digital music creators, I provide practical guidance tailored to their unique musical environments. I also focus on helping students read sheet music, understand theory, and express themselves with feeling and control.

My goal is to make piano playing exciting, achievable, and deeply rewarding. Let’s explore music together in a way that inspires growth and joy at every level.
