About Ines

I’m a singing tutor with over ten years of experience and hold a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialise in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My teaching style is relaxed and encouraging, creating a low-pressure space where you can feel comfortable exploring your voice. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help you sing with ease and confidence. Mindfulness in music is a big part of my approach, allowing you to connect deeply with your sound and emotions. I teach a variety of genres, including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. Developing a rich, expressive tone is one of my key strengths, and I tailor lessons to fit your unique voice and goals. Singing is more than just technique to me—it’s a powerful form of self-care, creativity, and confidence building. Whether you’re starting fresh or coming back to singing, I’m here to support your journey every step of the way. No matter your age, it’s never too late to discover the joy of singing. Performance skills include expressing emotions through simple stories connected to songs, fostering a deep emotional bond with the music. The approach encourages patience and steady progress, nurturing confidence in every note. For the Orchestra Member, lessons highlight advanced breathing techniques for sustained phrasing and dynamic control, supporting powerful, expressive singing. Vocal health includes strategies for managing strain during intense rehearsals. Pitch training uses vocal tracking apps like Vocal Pitch Monitor to refine intonation and blend with the ensemble. Performance skills focus on stage presence, communication with other musicians, and emotional expression suited to complex pieces. This approach balances technical mastery with personal artistry, helping singers connect deeply with both the music and their fellow performers. Both personas grow in vocal ability, emotional connection, and performance confidence through tailored, practical tools and exercises.
