About Sarah
I've been tutoring full-time for 20 years, working with a top agency in London to tutor students from independent schools, as well as picking up LEA-funded students who benefit from some extra help. Having moved recently to the beautiful Lake District, I am now offering A-Level RS and Philosophy lessons online and hoping to pick up students from all backgrounds around the UK. I enjoy working one-on-one with learners to help develop their understanding of the various thinkers, theories and debates at play throughout the A-Level. I have been told my jokes are really bad, so watch out for that. Other than tutoring, I love swimming and old films.

I tutor online for A-Level Religious Studies (OCR, Edexcel, Eduqas) and Philosophy (AQA), working with a variety of students who are committed to improving their knowledge and understanding of the subject, as well as spending time learning how to structure answers and essays for the exam. I have been tutoring for 20 years full time, having worked with many pupils from independent school backgrounds (like Harrow, Cheltenham Ladies, Oundle and Dulwich Boys / Alleyn's), as well as pupils from sixth form colleges and schools around the UK or following the UK exam boards. How we work, what we work on and the pace of learning is dependent on the pupil; however, I usually include some reading and/or chatting through each topic, as well as discussing some of the main concepts and issues at play before working on written and exam-style answers. I have worked with several homeschooling students and re-sits during this time, as well as helping students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ASD. An examiner for a major exam board at A-Level, we can look through what makes for a really good essay - both in terms of clarity and argument as well as the AOs of the different exam boards.
