About Xinyi
Hi, I am Xinyi from MSc in Economics at LSE, where I also have completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting and Finance. Maths, statistics, economics, and finance are my strengths. I have obtained over 90% in my undergraduate maths and statistics courses and can prepare students for these two subjects plus economics and finance in GCSE, A Level, university, and other degree levels. I have taught over 70 hours up to now and have helped 4 first-year undergraduates with their weekly problem sets and past exams in finance. I am proud that most of them achieved firsts in their final exams. Problem solving skill is highly important to get a high mark in these quantitative subjects. Therefore, after introducing basic concepts, I will go through problems in class, step by step. If time allows, I will talk about interesting applications of these subjects (e.g. applications of maths and statistics in the financial industry). Look forward to seeing you in class!
