About Mustafa

I am a Mechanical Design Engineer with a First-Class BEng and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering Design from the University of Manchester. Alongside my professional engineering work, I have experience supporting students and peers in technical subjects.

I believe most students don’t struggle because they lack ability, they struggle because concepts aren’t explained in the right way. My aim is to make difficult ideas clear, logical, and intuitive.

I am patient, adaptable, and student-centred, tailoring my approach to each learner’s goals and learning style. Whether you want better grades, stronger confidence, or preparation for engineering, I’m here to help you build genuine understanding.

About the lesson

I offer personalised tutoring in Mathematics and Engineering from GCSE through to university level, with a particular focus on applied mathematics and core mechanical engineering subjects. My lessons are designed to develop deep understanding, structured problem-solving skills, and build long-term confidence.

Each session is built around your individual goals. I take a student-centred approach, adapting my teaching style to how you learn best and ensuring that difficult ideas are explained clearly, visually, and logically.

Lessons are typically one hour, structured into focused 5–15 minute activities that build towards one key topic or skill.

I can help with topics such as:

Mathematics (GCSE–University):

Applied Mathematics & Engineering Mathematics

Calculus (differentiation, integration, applications)

Differential equations

Linear algebra (matrices, vectors, transformations)

Trigonometry and geometry

Sequences, series, and functions

Mechanics of materials / stress and strain

CAD and SolidWorks training (sketching, parts, assemblies, drawings)

I place strong emphasis on linking theory to real-world engineering examples so that concepts make sense beyond the textbook. This is especially valuable for students considering or already studying engineering.
