About Jaclyn
Education runs in my family—my mom, grandpa, aunt, and cousin are all educators, and their example inspired me to pursue teaching as a career. I recently earned my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Sacred Heart University, and this past year, I taught Kindergarten in Wilton, CT, where I gained valuable classroom experience and a deeper understanding of how young children learn best. Before that, during my college years, I worked as a substitute teacher at a Catholic school, supporting students from PreK-3 through 8th grade. These experiences helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to different age groups and learning needs. Although this will be my first time tutoring, I bring professionalism, dedication, and a true love for helping students succeed. I am committed to showing up prepared, creating a supportive space for learning, and tailoring my instruction to each child’s unique strengths and goals.

I'm a newer teacher excited to begin tutoring for the first time! I work with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade and am passionate about helping each child feel confident and supported in their learning. While I’m still gaining experience, I’m committed to tailoring each session to the student’s unique needs and learning style.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and flexible. I aim to create a comfortable space where students aren’t afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. Lessons will include a warm-up, focused practice on one or two skills, and time to reflect or review. I’m happy to support with foundational skills in reading, writing, or math, as well as homework or classwork.
What makes me different is my willingness to grow alongside my students. I care deeply about helping children feel seen and capable, and I’m eager to build strong, supportive relationships that help them thrive.
