About the lesson

Beginner Level
For complete beginners or those with very little Japanese, I focus on building a strong foundation through storytelling and practical everyday phrases. Lessons are engaging and immersive — we practice as if you are actually living in Japan for an extended period.
You will learn useful real-life skills such as:
• Opening a bank account
• Talking with landlords or neighbors
• Asking questions at city hall for resident registration (jūminhyō)
• Shopping, ordering food, using public transport, and handling daily situations
Emphasis is placed on correct pronunciation, simple grammar, and building confidence through repetition and role-play. My calm, patient approach helps you progress quickly and feel comfortable using Japanese from day one.
Intermediate Level
For students who already speak some Japanese and want to improve fluency and natural expression.
We build on your existing knowledge with more complex conversations, vocabulary expansion, and cultural context. Lessons include:
• Role-playing real-life scenarios (travel, work, social situations)
• Storytelling and discussion to improve listening and speaking flow
• Correcting common mistakes and refining grammar
• Practical topics like making appointments, explaining your needs clearly, and understanding polite speech (keigo)
The goal is to help you communicate more naturally and confidently, as if living or working in Japan.
Advanced Level
For professionals or advanced learners who need support with business Japanese and high-level communication.
Lessons focus on business meetings, negotiations, and discussions with Japanese management/executives. Special attention is given to cultural differences so your message is received positively and effectively.
We practice:
• Explaining ideas, proposals, and feedback in ways that align with Japanese business etiquette
• Polite and strategic keigo usage
• Handling difficult conversations, presentations, and negotiations
• Understanding subtle cultural cues and indirect communication styles
