About Chris
I've been tutoring since I was a 15-year-old in high school back in the 1970s. I've continued to teach and tutor all the way through my Ph.D. (Computer Science) and beyond. I've worked with HS freshmen who weren't sure they belonged in the class and with my help they got through and did very well. I've worked with adult learners who work full time and went back to school to finish the degree they never could before. In my current job I'm teaching computer science full time at Eastern Oregon University, so if the jump to college and harder courses seems a bit much, I can help.

I'm Chris, and I'm a patient and experienced explainer / teacher / coach for computer science topics. I have 4 years of current full-time university Computer Science teaching experience, 6 years part-time teaching AP CS in high schools, 15 years part-time teaching and tutoring CS and math online and 32 years of industry experience at Boeing and Seattle tech startups.
I can tailor what I tutor to match your individual goals, from high school to graduate school. I'm a big fan of a steady stream of small incremental achievements in learning a topic - read a little, try a little, review and assess where to go next. I teach the following areas:
