About Sijia

Hello! My name is Sijia, and I come from the beautiful Spring City—Kunming in Yunnan Province. I graduated from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics with a bachelor's degree. Mandarin is my native language, and I have a standard pronunciation along with a Level 2 certificate in Mandarin proficiency. Additionally, I am fluent in English; I have passed both the College English Test Band 4 and Band 6 (CET-4 and CET-6), and I was awarded first prize in the National College Student English Competition. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges and joys of language learning, as well as insights into how to help students learn effectively.
I am an enthusiastic person with diverse interests. I enjoy sending postcards, watching movies, listening to music, traveling, and tasting delicious cuisines from around the world. Music holds a special place in my heart—I love singing English songs and occasionally playing the guitar. In our classes together, we can chat about interesting topics such as music, movies, food, travel, and more to make our learning experience enjoyable! Whether you are a beginner in Chinese or want to further improve your Chinese proficiency, I can tailor a course specifically for you. We can start from the very basics, such as pinyin and tones, and gradually enhance your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I will patiently correct your pronunciation and help you express yourself more naturally. Additionally, I will incorporate elements of Chinese traditional culture, customs, and practical daily expressions into the course, enabling you to not only master the language but also truly understand Chinese culture.
My teaching style is relaxed and enjoyable, emphasizing interaction and practice. I believe that language learning is not just about memorizing words and grammar, but also about building confidence through communication and expression. Therefore, I will encourage you to speak up boldly and improve your language skills in real conversations.
