About Ameena
I am a college graduate who is currently working in the non-profit sector. I come across many people who do not speak English as their first language in this field. Some people may get frustrated when other's cannot understand them or when others cannot convey what they want, but I have the patience to listen and help those who need help learning all the fine tuned details of the English language. I still love learning new words every day and teaching others how to say them and what they mean.

My teaching method first begins with learning how the student prefers to learn. Each person has a way they prefer to learn, even if they don't realize it. Once I learn how the student prefers to learn, I then cater my method to that. If the student is more hands on, then I will let them attempt different tasks on their own (with my supervision), then give feedback. If the student prefers to watch and take notes, I will gladly allow them to do that instead. It all depends on the person!
