About Delilah

Hi, I'm Delilah! I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, singing in gospel choirs, school musicals, and regional competitions from age seven. Music was never just a hobby in my family — it was how we communicated love. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.Ed.) from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University — one of America's oldest and most celebrated conservatories — where I trained in Vocal Performance and Music Education and performed in nationally recognized ensemble productions. I have 8 years teaching singing to students of all ages. My student-directed approach combined with the "voice evolution timeline" has produced something I never expected — students who bring their timeline to first meetings with college music programs as visual evidence of their documented growth. That portfolio of progress has genuinely helped students stand out in competitive auditions. I have helped students earn choir placements, land lead theater roles, release original music, and gain acceptance into university conservatories. I was honored with the Maryland Music Educators Master Instructor Award for my student-need-centered and growth-documented approach to vocal coaching. Hi! I offer 100% student-directed online one-on-one live singing and music lessons for K-12, high school, college first-year, bachelor's first-year students, and all ages. Before every single lesson you tell me exactly what you need — and that becomes our entire session. Preparing for school choir audition? We rehearse your audition piece until it is absolutely performance-ready. Struggling with hitting high notes consistently? That is our complete focus until it feels natural and effortless. Want to finally learn how to harmonize? We spend the entire session building your harmony ear from scratch. Writing a song but stuck on the bridge? We finish that bridge together today.
