About Bruno

I have over 30 years of experience as a guitar player with a long-standing interest in blues, rock, improvisation, and musical expression.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students move beyond scales and patterns toward developing real musical language and confidence on the instrument.

Lessons are personalized according to each student’s level, goals, and musical interests, combining practical application with guided musical development.

I provide original printed study material and custom backing tracks designed to support practical learning and guided musical development.

About the lesson

Many guitar players spend years studying modes, CAGED systems, and countless scale patterns, yet still struggle to create convincing solos. This course takes a different approach. Rather than adding more complexity, we focus on the simplicity and effectiveness of the pentatonic scale as a complete improvisational language.

The goal is not to memorize more shapes, but to learn how to organize musical ideas in real time. Students discover how great players create expressive solos using phrasing, rhythm, repetition, variation, and melodic development instead of constantly searching for new scales and theoretical concepts.

Lessons are adapted to the student's current level and can be applied to blues, rock, classic rock, jam-band, and related styles.

Topics include:

• Playing with the beat and developing rhythmic control
• Motif development and thematic improvisation
• Call and response phrasing
• Repeat and expand techniques
• Melodic sequencing concepts
• Creating movement within pentatonic shapes
• Breaking free from linear scale playing
• Building complete solos from simple ideas
• Strategies for avoiding "getting stuck" during improvisation
• Developing personal phrasing and musical vocabulary

Students will learn how professional players create compelling solos using simple materials, often relying more on phrasing, rhythm, and development than on complex theory or advanced scale systems.

The goal is not to learn more scales. The goal is to unlock the full musical potential of the pentatonic scale you already know.
