About Simon
I am a dedicated Saxophone tutor with 10 years of teaching experience and a successful track record of guiding around 150 students. I teach students of all ages and levels, helping them build confidence and strong musical foundations.
My teaching style combines structured learning with creativity. I begin with breathing exercises, tone development, articulation, and scale practice. I also include rhythm drills and music theory lessons to strengthen overall understanding. As students progress, I introduce improvisation and expressive techniques.
I believe in maintaining open communication and creating a comfortable learning environment. I adapt lessons based on each student’s goals and progress.
My aim is to inspire long-term passion for music while helping students achieve technical accuracy and confident performance skills.

My Saxophone teaching methodology is guided by Communication, Accountability, and Integrity to ensure strong technical and musical development. I begin by focusing on the core fundamentals such as correct posture, breath support, embouchure formation, and tone control.
I clearly explain each technique and demonstrate how to practice effectively. Students work on scales, articulation exercises, rhythm drills, and musical phrasing in a structured manner. I set weekly goals and maintain consistent progress tracking to build accountability.
I provide honest and constructive feedback to help students improve steadily. Integrity in my teaching ensures that students build proper habits and long-term skill. In addition to Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, and basic Improvisation to support complete musical growth.
