About Esme
With over 17 years of experience, I am a Guitar tutor who specializes in teaching college students. My goal is to make learning Guitar a creative, enjoyable, and rewarding experience. I combine structured guidance, mentorship, and innovative teaching methods to help students grow. I cover all essential areas including chords, scales, music theory, improvisation, and songwriting. I encourage students to compose music and explore their own style. My lessons are interactive, using play-along tracks, exercises, and digital tools for effective practice. I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and interests. I focus on building technical skills, stage confidence, and creativity, while encouraging consistent practice and accountability. Seeing students perform and express themselves through music is my greatest motivation. I aim to make every lesson engaging, inspiring, and focused on helping students reach their full musical potential.

I approach guitar lessons with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and mentorship. I want students to enjoy music while building skills that last a lifetime. I encourage improvisation, experimentation with different musical genres, and composition, so that students can develop their own unique musical style.
Accountability is an essential part of my teaching. I help students set goals, maintain practice routines, and track their progress. By combining structured learning with freedom to explore, students gain confidence and independence.
