About Sharon

Hello there,

I'm a recording artist, singer-songwriter, session vocalist, vocal arranger, producer & vocal coach with 20+ years experience as a live performer. I've been a private Performance Vocal Coach for the last ten years and I enjoyed coaching vocalists so much, I decided to open up my roster to people outside the music industry during the COVID 19 lockdowns of 2020 and I've been working with a range of singers ever since.

Helping people develop their singing voice brings me great joy and fulfilment. I provide a range of practical vocal techniques and encouraging guidance for beginners to advanced singers, across several genres:
• Pop
• R&B
• Musical Theatre
• Soul
• Gospel
• Jazz
• Alternative / Rock
• Folk
• Classical / Opera

Whether your goal is to express yourself through singing, or simply to be able to hold a tune well; or you need help prepping for an audition, recording session or live performance; or you want to enhance your technical vocal skills; or you've always wanted to be able to have the confidence to perform well when singing live - if you're willing to practice in between your lessons - I can help you reach your vocal goals. Other Qualifications:
As a songwriter, I've been a Writer and Publisher member of ASCAP since 1995. I've been working as a recording artist, live performer, singer-songwriter, composer, session vocalist, vocal arranger, vocal producer, music director and performance vocal coach for years. About the lesson

We'll start each lesson with a vocal warm up. Then work on one song of your choosing, from a wide range of musical genres:
• Pop
• R&B
• Musical Theatre
• Soul
• Gospel
• Jazz
• Alternative / Rock
• Classical / Opera

I'll guide you through how to use: accents, breath placement, dynamics, vibrato, runs and expression, to bring your singing to life in the loveliest way.

Wendy is a born performer, with a powerhouse-sized voice! It's a great pleasure coaching someone who's preparing to perform in West End shows again after a break. I relish the particular challenge of helping people who want to regain their vocal control between registers and add more precision & polish to their vocal delivery. So I have every faith Wendy's passion for singing & performing and diligence practicing the vocal techniques I give her in between lessons, will help her reach her vocal goals in time for her upcoming audition.

I had the honour and pleasure of teaching Devany for her first ever singing lesson and she sang very well indeed. :) She has good aural skills and was able to follow and sing the melody on pitch, with nice natural dynamics and musicality. We had a really fun lesson. She's a joy to teach!
