About Umberto
I am an Italian archaeologist working in higher education. I came to London to study and I have been living here for the past seven years.
Some of the people I met and became friends with during this time were either learning Italian through apps or classes, or they were simply curious about it. I helped them improve their conversation skills simply by having chats and they always found it fun and helpful.
Learning a new language can be daunting and I believe that a safe and fun environment where one can exercise their basic conversation without judgement or assessment is a great opportunity for those who already have the basics of the grammar and vocabulary!

I don't have a specific method that I follow every time. We will meet either in person or virtually, at your place, my place or somewhere else, and we will chat for an hour. It will be totally lead by you, you choose what to talk about and whether there are specific themes you would like to tackle. I am not a professional language teacher and I will not be teaching you Italian, but we can definitely go over rules of grammar together and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
