About JJ
I’m a native English speaker from South Africa with a TEFL certification and a deep passion for communication, creativity, and personal growth.
I love meeting people from different cultures and creating conversations that feel natural, engaging, and comfortable.
My teaching style is patient, relaxed, and supportive, with a focus on helping students build confidence and fluency in real-life English.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy music, guitar improvisation, psychology, philosophy, meditation, reading, and exploring new ideas.
I believe language learning works best when it feels human, enjoyable, and connected to genuine curiosity.
Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, I aim to create a calm and encouraging space where you can practice speaking freely without fear of making mistakes.

Hi there! I am JJ. What you can expect from me is my full energy and attention on your learning journey, whatever that may look like. I will ask you a set of questions to get to know you and to assess your level of literacy, and will take time to develop a personal learning strategy for you and adjust my teaching style to suit you and your needs!
I am also an empath, so talking to me will be easy and free. I am chilled, patient and kind. We will always learn together and have a good time!
