About Max

I used to work in accounting and finance, I worked in a startup and in forensic accounting and achieved my degree in Chartered Accounting, but after I'd had enough of that, I decided to pursue medical research. After my first semester back at University, and my first taste of academic success, I decided I would pursue medicine. I'm passionate about ideas and how they're helping us to understand the microscopic, the cosmic and ourselves. My interest in medicine is tangential to this passion. Ideas arise out of our nervous system and spread through communication and interpretation. Ideas command vast resources (governments, corporations and religions), and they can spread faster than any virus. There is also evidence that within our bodies, ideas can benefit us. Ideas such as resilience, optimism and safety. They can also harm us with the opposites of vulnerability, pessimism and danger. I think that ideas are underappreciated by the medical establishment. Ideas aren't just a matter of psychological well-being, but of physiological well-being too. So, I hope to study ideas from a medical perspective to see if they should be made more relevant.

About the lesson

And I'm here to help you find and solve problems that are holding you back from achieving the scores you're after.
I'm not here to teach you what I did, rather I'm here to help you find what works for you.

Together, we'll analyse the current state to find and solve problems that are obstructing your success.
No one-size-fits-all plans or AI-generated rubbish, just two people problem solving to help you succeed.
You probably have the raw ingredients for success, let's just cut the unnecessary crap and establish high leverage activities for you to focus on.

We'll look to streamline your approach, structure your study, and establish useful feedback mechanisms, while also optimising other aspects of your life to support your goals.

I'll consider questions such as:
Is it your comprehension, writing or reasoning that needs work, or is it your ability to do these under pressure?
Are you getting adequate sleep, movement and nutrition to support the work you are putting in?
Is your mindset supporting you or hindering you when it comes to study and exams?
What feedback loops do you have in place?
Are you going slow enough for the lessons to stick?
