About Marco

I am Marco and I have been teaching for more than ten years. I believe that each one should develop their potential to the fullest and have tools to be more free and creative in life. That is why I believe that studying things that make us develop new skills is one way to achieve that goal. It is with this intention that I have studied and put into practice multiple knowledge, but I understand that the realization is not only individual but collective and that is why I am interested in teaching others what I know. Knowing a language like English allowed me to access theoretical material and content of various kinds that if I didn't know English I would never have accessed. And it is how English has become key in a world where access to information is essential. I think English has made me in a certain way more free, autonomous and creative. I have been self-taught in the English language for almost fifteen years, then having the possibility of studying formally at the National University of Cuyo. However, meeting people from other countries and putting the language into practice is how I have really learned. And above all, make the English language something everyday, integrate it into your day to day: practicing with a friend, watching videos, movies, reading or listening to podcasts. Using this methodology has made me consider myself bilingual today, but learning does not stop but continues. With a more professional use I have faced several projects in the teaching of this language. In conjunction with my theatrical career (I am also dedicated to dramatic art as a writer, director and teacher) I coordinated in the period 2018-2019 "English Drama: Theater in English". The objective was to study and practice English through theatrical techniques (in addition to learning about fictions by English authors). The project continues but mutated to a virtual modality. I have also formed English study and reading groups for beginners and advanced. However, over time, I have realized that each person must study in a unique and personalized way, since we all have different goals and ways of learning. My idea is currently to put together a unique study plan for each person that adapts to how, when, where and why to study the English language, focusing on the skills necessary to meet this objective.

BUILD A CUSTOM STUDY PLAN A good question to start with is What do you need to learn? Most courses and study books are put together for a standard student, someone who doesn't really exist. Each one is unique and needs to know English for different things, to different degrees of depth, and to focus on certain skills more than others. Traditional courses treat everyone as equals, they decide for you what you have to learn and above all, they do not take into account who you are, your goals, and your real social context. The idea is that we put together a study plan that suits your goals, not that you have to adapt to it. In an initial session I help you find out what your motivation is to learn English or improve what you already know, what use you are going to give the language, what is your goal and where are you going to apply it. Based on that, we will see different options and among them, you will decide which one to start and what goal to reach. It is a process between both, if you reach your goal, I reach my goal: that you get to where you want to go. 5 PILLARS IN MY TEACHING: 1) NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) speech and theater, to develop communication skills, use both verbal and non-verbal language (gestural and emotional) and increase confidence when expressing oneself. 2) individual content, real content: the texts, conversations, videos and all the material will be from the topics and areas where the student will apply English in real life. 3) bilingual life: incorporate English into your daily life to balance the 4 areas (listening, reading, speaking and writing) The idea is to make the brain much more visual in the face of the new language. For this, it is important that you incorporate this language into your daily routine. For example: watching movies in English, changing the language on the phone, reading in English or listening to Anglo-Saxon music. 4) Interaction: All classes will incorporate speaking and the exchange of ideas, whatever your level, so that your brain gets used to the sound of this language, builds confidence in what you already know, encourages you to talk with other people and improve your way of listening and speaking How? Practice, practice, practice. 5) creativity, to balance both cerebral hemispheres. Studying a language is not only knowing grammar rules and vocabulary, but it is including the capacity for imagination, visualization, empathy and other emotions in the language in such a way that learning is global and not one-sided. Most traditional courses neglect the creative aspect of the person. In my case, I incorporate activities that aim to develop creativity, since that way it is possible to more easily solve problems, find solutions and improvise. SOME EXAMPLES OF WHY LEARN ENGLISH Some of the objectives most commonly chosen by students to put together a personalized study plan are: -English language initiation -English language improvement (leveling up) -Conversation practice -Knowing English to travel and situations in foreign countries -preparation of international exams such as the FCE, among others -school reinforcement (primary, secondary, tertiary or university) -apply English to my university career and / or current profession -conversing with people with English as first language (native speakers of the language) -assistance in writing, conferences, documents and translations -improve confidence when speaking with other people -become bilungual -improve fluency and diction -increase my vocabulary -learn English for my business and business area -know English to read and watch content on the internet that interests me -know English to translate videos and texts cough -knowing English to improve my professional resume There can be as many plans as there are people in the world. Build yours and start studying English!
