About Richard
My entire school career I always excelled at math, oftentimes being placed into higher education classes, as well as signing up for them on my own. This has continued to my current college courses where I am studying to be an accountant. Most importantly, however, I've always been able to help other students around me and help them understand things in ways that some teachers were not able to.

My teaching philosophy for math is about returning students to the basics. Take all the stress and anxiety out of complex problems and allow the child to see all equations can be simplified to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division! I believe in building a very strong core of these fundamentals, followed by teaching the logic and reasoning of how and when to apply them.
