About Maria
My name is Maria, I was born in Medellin, Colombia and I have lived in Canada for 8 years. I like meeting new people and much more when I am looking to learn new languages, at the moment I speak 3, but I am learning the 4th and it has helped me a lot to improve it by having someone to practice it with and who is waiting for them to correct me when I mistaken. That is why I would like to expand my knowledge of Spanish speaking since it is my native language with people who are looking to learn this wonderful language. On the other hand, to know more about myself, I really like to read, walk my dog and exercise, I am always looking for something new to learn (if they are languages better) and to enjoy life as it happens, I have type diabetes 1 and that has helped me see life differently; It is a medical condition that requires a lot of mental and financial stability, but it has not stopped me. I hope we can get to know each other more and that you can see me as a support so that you can improve in what you want to learn in Spanish.

My teaching methods are mostly reading comprehension, listening and speaking. I provide some exercises so that people can practice a little on their part, but always be careful to correct mistakes, so that in the future they feel confident when starting a conversation. I am a very active person and I really like to talk and listen, and as a person who speaks 3 languages, I feel that the best thing to improve in a language is to speak it and practice it a lot, especially with people whose native speech is the language being learned.
