About Shawn
I’m a certified personal trainer through the National Federation of Personal Training (NFPT), with a specialty certification in functional training. I’ve worked with clients in university gyms, commercial fitness centers, and through freelance coaching, giving me a broad range of experience in different training environments. I hold an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from the University of Delaware and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Occupational Therapy. This academic background allows me to take an evidence-based, client-centered, and functional approach to fitness. My passion lies in strength training and helping clients build confidence in foundational movements. I focus on ensuring exercises are performed safely and effectively, with attention to progressive overload, smart exercise selection, and mobility work that supports pain-free movement across a wide range of activities.

Every training session is designed with you in mind. I create individually tailored programs that meet your unique goals, fitness level, and lifestyle—whether we train in person, at your home, or in the gym. My coaching focuses on building strength, improving safety in foundational movements, and helping you understand how to progressively overload for lasting results. You'll learn how to choose the right exercises, perform optimal warmups and cool downs, and develop mobility for pain-free movement across a wide range of activities.
We can start with a simple, no-pressure call to talk about your health, fitness interests, and where you’d like to go. From there, we’ll build a plan that fits your needs and helps you move confidently toward your goals.
