About Sophia
I am an Executive Functioning Coach, tutor, and mentor with extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students, students with special needs, and college-level learners. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University and a BA with a concentration in Education and Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, and previously taught collegiate writing and literature.
My work spans elementary through college-level instruction across English, essay and creative writing, history, math, AP and IB coursework, and executive functioning skills. I specialize in one-on-one, student-centered instruction that is individualized, strength-based, and relationship-driven. By collaborating closely with families and meeting students where they are, I help learners build confidence, effective learning habits, and long-term academic success.
