About Elisabet

I have been playing the violin since I was 7 years old and have studied with different private teachers, learning through various approaches to classical music, technique, music theory, tone production, and ear training.
In this moment I am interested to share my knowledge with others
As a tutor, I use the Suzuki Method, scales, and ear training as foundations, while adapting each lesson to the student's level and goals. I especially enjoy helping students learn to play by ear and work on songs they genuinely enjoy.
We can choose any song and learn it step by step while developing technique, intonation, rhythm, bow control, tone, and musical expression.
My goal is to create a supportive and structured environment where students can enjoy playing, build confidence, and become increasingly independent musicians.

My Teaching Approach
I believe learning the violin should be both structured and enjoyable. My teaching approach combines the Suzuki Method, scales, violin technique, classical training, music theory, and ear training, while adapting the lessons to each student's goals and interests.
I have been studying violin since I was 7 years old, and now, at 23, I have had the opportunity to learn from different private teachers with different teaching styles. This allowed me to experience several approaches to violin playing, including classical music, technique, sound production, music theory, and ear development.
Rather than using exactly the same method with every student, I first try to understand what the student wants to achieve and how they learn best.
One of the things I especially enjoy teaching is playing by ear. I want students to gradually develop the ability to hear a melody and find it on the violin themselves. If a student has a song they love, I encourage them to bring it to class. We can break it down into small sections and work on it step by step, while I guide them through intonation, rhythm, technique, bow control, tone, and musical expression.
My goal is for students to eventually feel that they can pick up their violin and figure out music for themselves, rather than always depending on sheet music or a teacher.
What a Lesson Looks Like
Depending on the student's level and goals, a lesson may include:
Scales and warm-ups to develop technique and intonation.
Technical exercises focused on posture, bowing, left-hand technique, and sound.
Classical repertoire and structured pieces appropriate for the student's level.
Ear training and learning melodies by ear.
Songs chosen by the student, learning them gradually and adapting them to their level.
Musical expression, including dynamics, phrasing, rhythm, and tone.
A short review at the end of the lesson with specific things to practice.
I believe that technique and enjoyment should go together. Even when working on fundamentals, I try to connect exercises to real music so that students understand why they are learning something and how they can use it.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are especially suitable for:
Complete beginners who want to start learning violin.
Children and teenagers developing their first violin skills.
Adults who have always wanted to learn the violin.
Beginner and intermediate students who want to strengthen their technique.
Students interested in classical violin.
Students who want to learn songs by ear.
Students who want a combination of structured violin training and personalized repertoire.
Whether your goal is to learn classical pieces, improve your technique, or simply be able to pick up your violin and play your favorite songs, I can adapt the lessons to your level and interests.
What Makes My Lessons Different?
What I bring to my lessons is not only the experience of having played violin for many years, but also the experience of having been a student myself for most of my life.
I understand what it feels like to learn a new technique, struggle with a difficult passage, work on intonation, or try to make the violin produce the sound you hear in your head.
Because I have learned from different teachers and approaches, I can combine different techniques instead of limiting students to a single way of learning.
My ultimate goal is to help each student become a more confident, independent, and musical violinist—one who can not only read and play music, but eventually listen to a melody and think, "I can find that on my violin."
