About Aliyah
Hi! I'm a qualified teacher with a degree in Human Biology and a teaching qualification. I've worked in three different secondary schools, giving me plenty of experience supporting students with a range of abilities, learning styles, and confidence levels.
I'm passionate about both Science and Maths, and I love helping students understand topics in a way that makes sense to them. Rather than rushing through content just to keep to a schedule, I focus on making sure students genuinely understand and retain what they've learnt. Building a strong foundation is the key to long-term success.
I aim to make lessons enjoyable, relaxed, and relatable by connecting concepts to real-life examples and the world around us. Whether you're looking to improve your confidence, catch up on missed topics, or achieve higher grades, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Each lesson lasts 1 hour and is designed to be supportive, engaging, and tailored to the individual student.
We start with a short knowledge recall activity to revisit previous topics and build confidence. Next, we'll work through the main part of the lesson, where I'll explain new concepts clearly, break down tricky ideas, and answer any questions along the way. Finally, we'll put everything into practice with questions to check understanding and apply what we've learnt. Students can work through these independently or with as much guidance as they need.
My aim is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building both their confidence and their understanding.
