About Fowell

I am a qualified and experienced educator with nearly 12 years of teaching experience in Further Education. I hold a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education from the University of London and an MSc in Advanced Communications Engineering from the University of Kent.

During my teaching career at Shooters Hill College, I worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, helping them develop their mathematical skills, build confidence and achieve their qualifications.

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for me is seeing students who initially struggle with Maths begin to understand concepts they once found difficult. I believe that everyone can make progress in Maths with the right encouragement, patience and support.

My experience also includes working as a software engineer, which has strengthened my ability to apply mathematical thinking, logic and problem-solving skills to real-world situations.

I am passionate about helping learners overcome their fear of Maths, develop confidence in their abilities and achieve their educational or career goals.

Whether you are a student preparing for GCSE exams or an adult returning to education, I aim to provide a supportive, professional and encouraging learning experience.

Lessons are available online or face-to-face in Dartford and surrounding areas. Additional travel charges may apply for longer journeys and will always be agreed in advance.

I am an experienced Maths educator with nearly 12 years of teaching experience, specialising in GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths from Entry Level 1 to Level 2.

My approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each learner's individual needs. I understand that Maths can be challenging, particularly for students who have struggled with the subject or lost confidence. My aim is to make Maths accessible, enjoyable and relevant to everyday life.

**How my lessons work:**
