About Jonathan
I’m a PGCE-qualified teacher with QTLS, currently completing an MBA alongside my professional career in commercial management.
My day-to-day work involves sales strategy, business development, pricing, customer management, leadership and working across areas such as technical, product development, operations, finance and marketing. This gives me the opportunity to apply many of the business concepts students encounter academically in real commercial situations.
Alongside that practical experience, my teaching background means I understand how to break complex ideas down, adapt explanations to different learners and build confidence over time.
I enjoy helping students see Business Studies as something happening around them every day, rather than simply a collection of models and theories to memorise.

My Business Studies tutoring is built around making theory practical, understandable and useful.
I help students break down business concepts, connect them to real organisations and commercial situations, and then build from understanding into confident application, analysis and stronger assessment performance.
Because I work professionally in commercial management while completing an MBA, I can bring current business experience into lessons across areas such as strategy, marketing, operations, finance, leadership and sales.
Sessions are tailored to the learner’s level and goals, whether that means understanding a difficult topic, improving coursework, preparing for an exam or developing stronger analytical answers.
I am a PGCE-qualified teacher with QTLS, and my teaching approach focuses on active involvement, clear explanations and practical examples rather than simply working through slides or textbook content.

Free 30-Minute Introductory Session
The free 30-minute session is designed as an initial diagnostic and planning session, rather than a full taught lesson.
We’ll use the time to discuss your course, current level, upcoming assessments and any areas you’re finding difficult. I’ll then help identify where the main gaps are and what we should prioritise in future sessions.
It also gives us both the opportunity to make sure my teaching approach is the right fit for you before committing to paid lessons.
